Carbon Resistor 2kΩ 0.25W Through Hole A compact axial 2 kΩ, 0.25 W through-hole carbon-style resistor in an epoxy-coated cylindrical body. The value is shown by color bands on the body; axial solder-plated leads extend from each end for easy insertion into PCBs or breadboards. The small footprint (normal 1/4 W axial bodies are about 6.5 mm long × ~2.3 mm diameter) makes it suitable for dense PCB layouts and prototype work. Built for low-power circuit tasks, the resistor safely dissipates up to 0.25 W (rated at 70 °C free air) and shows predictable thermal behaviour under typical loads.
