P8039AHL INTEL 8 bit Microcontroller The P8039AHL is an HMOS II-based microcontroller from Intel’s MCS®-48 family, designed as a self-sufficient, single-chip 8-bit parallel computer. It integrates a CPU, RAM, timer/counter, and I/O control on a single silicon die, leveraging Intel’s advanced N-channel silicon gate process. Unlike ROM-embedded variants, it omits internal program memory, relying solely on external storage for flexibility in system design. Optimized for real-time control and arithmetic processing, the P8039AHL executes instructions rapidly (1.36 µs cycle time) using a lean instruction set dominated by single-byte operations. It supports binary and BCD arithmetic, bit manipulation, and two interrupt channels, prioritizing efficiency in embedded environments.
