5mm 940nm Infrared Receiver LED IR Diode LED – IR Photodiode Sensor – Black Lens This 5mm 940nm Infrared Receiver Diode (IR Photodiode) is designed to detect infrared radiation emitted from IR transmitters such as remote controls or emitters. With a peak sensitivity at 940nm , it is ideal for IR obstacle avoidance, intrusion detection, and other IR sensing applications. The black lens is specially designed to block visible light, improving IR sensitivity and reducing false triggers from ambient light sources. The diode behaves inversely compared to standard LEDs—it conducts current when IR light is present , making it useful in a wide range of optical sensing and automation projects.
