BD679A NPN Darlington Transistor 80V 4A 40W TO-126 The BD679A is a monolithic NPN Darlington power transistor in a TO-126 (SOT-32) style package, engineered for high-gain amplification and robust switching in industrial and consumer power circuits, with integrated antiparallel diode and planar base-island technology for reliable thermal and electrical performance. Features NPN monolithic Darlington configuration with integrated antiparallel collector-emitter diode for robust switching performance. High DC current gain enabling reduced base drive requirements. Collector-emitter sustaining voltage rated for 80V for BD679A family members. Continuous collector current of 4A with 6A peak capability for transient loads. Total power dissipation of 40W at T case =25°C for thermal-managed applications. Low saturation voltages under rated drive (V CE(sat) typ. up to 2.8V at I C =2A, I B =40mA). Wide operating junction temperature up to 150°C for demanding environments.
