MBR3045PT Schottky Diode Array 1 Pair of Common Cathode 45V 30A TO-3P-3 The MBR3045PT is a Schottky barrier rectifier array containing two diodes in a common‑cathode configuration, packaged in a TO‑247 (also known as TO‑3P) through‑hole package. Each leg can conduct up to 15A continuous (30A total), with a peak reverse voltage of 45V. The common‑cathode topology allows full‑wave rectification using a single transformer winding and simplifies board layout for OR‑ing and polarity protection circuits. Schottky technology provides a low forward voltage drop (0.60V typical at 20A, 125°C) and virtually no reverse recovery time, making it ideal for high‑frequency switching applications where efficiency is paramount. The device features a guard ring for over‑voltage protection, enhancing ruggedness against transient spikes. Its metal‑silicon junction ensures majority carrier conduction, eliminating minority carrier storage effects. With a non‑repetitive surge current rating of 200A (8.3ms single half‑sine wave), it can survive severe startup or fault conditions. The TO‑247 package offers low thermal resistance (1.4°C/W junction‑to‑case) and is designed for easy heatsink mounting, enabling reliable operation up to 150°C junction temperature. Typical applications include output rectification in SMPS, freewheeling diodes in motor drives, and reverse battery protection in automotive and industrial systems. Features: Dual Schottky rectifier with common cathode in a single package. Extremely low forward voltage drop for high efficiency. Fast switching with no reverse recovery time. High surge current capability for reliable transient handling. Guard ring for over‑voltage protection. Isolated package (mounting tab electrically isolated from internal circuitry). Low power dissipation and high thermal conductivity. Lead‑free and RoHS compliant. High current capacity with low leakage.
