Power Resistor 30W 10Ω The 30 W, 10 Ω cement-type power resistor features a high-alumina ceramic core enclosed within a cement-coated ceramic body that provides mechanical protection and thermal stability. The resistive element may be realized as a metal-oxide film or a resistance wire, embedded and sealed with silicone-based cement to resist moisture and improve heat transfer. Termination is provided by welded tinned iron end caps with solderable leads, offering a secure electrical connection for through-hole mounting or wired assemblies. Rated for continuous 30 W dissipation, this resistor’s nominal electrical behavior follows the defined power and resistance relationship; its rated voltage is √(P×R) approximately 17.32 V for the 10 Ω value. The part is designed to operate continuously at the rated ambient with a manufacturer-specified derating curve as temperature rises, and it tolerates short-duration overloads and pulse stresses within the limits set by the specification, maintaining stable resistance under both steady-state and transient thermal loading. Constructed to meet common industrial reliability tests, the component passes solderability and solder-heat checks, dielectric and insulation testing, temperature cycling, humidity load-life and extended load-life trials.
