L7818CV Positive Voltage Regulator 18V 1.5A TO-220 The L7818CV is a three-terminal positive voltage regulator part of the L78 series . It is designed for a wide range of applications, specifically providing local on-card regulation to eliminate distribution problems associated with single-point regulation . Each IC is essentially indestructible, as it embeds internal current limiting, thermal shut-down, and safe area protection . While primarily designed as a fixed voltage regulator, it can be used with external components to achieve adjustable voltages and currents .
