The nut consists of 2 pieces with a preloaded spring between them to get rid of backlash during movent. How does the anti-backlash mechanism work? The assembly consists of a main nut body and a secondary ring. There is a spring in-between the two which forces each part against opposing flanks of the screw thread, effectively creating a bias that takes up any backlash during movement.
