TA8122AN TOSHIBA 3V 14mA Single-Chip Tuner IC SDIP-24 The TA8122AN is a 3V AM/FM 1-chip tuner IC that integrates RF, mixer, IF, detector and related control circuits to provide a complete receiver front-end for small portable and headphone radios. Its design minimizes external tuned components (supports ceramic discriminator / resonator), simplifies board layout and eases manufacture of compact radios while keeping power consumption low for battery operation. Internally the device includes FM RF and mixer stages, AM/FM IF, AGC and stereo decoding-related circuitry plus outputs for tuning and stereo LEDs and audio outputs (L/R). The TA8122AN is available in a shrink DIP-24 through-hole package (and an SSOP24 variant) and is specified for an operating supply range that makes it suitable for single- or two-cell battery operation; the datasheet also provides recommended external component kits (ceramic filters/resonators) and typical application circuits for quick integration.
