BMS (battery management system) circuit module is essential for battery pack (multiple cells) rechargeable Lithium battery (for example 18650 battery pack) protection and balance charging for battery long life and better performance. It is used to monitor the voltage of individual cell and total battery pack such that it does not exceed limits. It also limits the total current in and out of battery. The BMS most important job is to keep balancing charging of many cells at the same time such that the voltage level in each cell is the same like other cells.
