ULN2065B Quad Darlington Switch 80V 1.5A PDIP-16 Designed to interface logic to a wide variety of high current, high voltage loads, these devices each contain four NPN Darlington switches delivering up to 1.5 A with a specified minimum breakdown of 50 V and a sustaining voltage of 35 V measured at 100 mA. Inputs of the ULN2065B are compatible with popular 5V logic families. Features Output current to 1.5A for each Darlington. Minimum breakdown 80V. Sustaining voltage at least 35V. Integral suppression diodes. Versions compatible with all popular logic families. PINOUT Pin No. Symbol Description 1 K Clamp diode common cathode (connect to the load supply/positive rail for inductive load suppression). 2 C Collector (output) — switched connection to common emitter/ground when channel is ON. 3 B Base input (logic control input for the corresponding Darlington channel). 4 GND Common emitter / ground connection (tie to PCB ground and recommended heatsink copper area). 5 GND Common emitter / ground connection. 6 B Base input (logic control input for the corresponding Darlington channel). 7 C Collector (output) — switched connection to common emitter/ground when channel is ON. 8 K Clamp diode common cathode (same as pin 1, diode connection for inductive load suppression). 9 C Collector (output) — switched connection to common emitter/ground when channel is ON. 10 NC No connection (not internally used). 11 B Base input (logic control input for the corresponding Darlington channel). 12 GND Common emitter / ground connection. 13 GND Common emitter / ground connection. 14 B Base input (logic control input for the corresponding Darlington channel). 15 NC No connection (not internally used). 16 C Collector (output) — switched connection to common emitter/ground when channel is ON.
