MC1408 8-bit multiplying D/A converter The MC1408 is a high-speed, 8-bit multiplying Digital-to-Analog (D/A) converter . It is designed to produce an analog output current that is a linear product of an 8-bit digital word and an analog input reference voltage . Features High-Speed Operation: Achieves a typical settling time of 300 ns. Excellent Relative Accuracy: ±0.19% maximum error for 8-bit models (MC1408P8). Multiplying Capability: High speed multiplying input slew rate of 4.0 mA/µs. Logic Compatibility: Digital inputs are compatible with both MTTL and CMOS. Flexible Supply Voltage: Operates with standard supplies of +5.0V and -5.0V to -15V. Wide Output Voltage Swing: Can swing from +0.4V to -5.0V.
