LM7001 Direct PLL Frequency Synthesizer IC 4.5V to 6.5V 40mA DIP-16 The LM7001 is an NMOS LSI direct phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizer for electronic tuning in AM/FM tuners. It includes a high-speed programmable divider in the FM VCO circuit that enables direct division, simplifying the assembly of high-performance radio receivers. The IC features software compatibility with the LM7000 (excluding the IF calculation circuit) and operates via a standard 3-wire serial interface. Features High-Speed Direct Division: Includes a high-speed programmable divider inside the FM VCO circuit for direct division. 7 Selectable Reference Frequencies: Supports 1 kHz, 5 kHz, 9 kHz, 10 kHz, 25 kHz, 50 kHz, and 100 kHz. Band-Switching Outputs: Features 3-bit open-drain band data outputs (BO1 to BO3). System Clock Outputs: Outputs a 400 kHz controller clock (SYC) and an 8 Hz clock time base via BO1. 3-Wire Serial Interface: Controlled via standard CE (Chip Enable), CL (Clock), and DATA input pins. LM7000 Compatible: Software compatible with the LM7000 (excluding the IF calculation circuit).
