IRFZ40 N-Channel MOSFET Transistor 50V 35A TO-220 The IRFZ40 is a rugged, through-hole TO-220 N-channel MOSFET designed for demanding power applications that require low on-resistance and fast switching. It provides robust inductive-load tolerance, an integrated body diode for free-wheeling, and good thermal performance when mounted to a heatsink. Typical uses include motor controllers, switching regulators, power switches, and general-purpose high-current switching where VDS ≤ 50 V and high pulsed/sustained currents are required. The device is made to withstand repetitive pulse stresses and includes characteristics that help reduce switching losses and EMI in practical circuits.
