DESCRIPTION These low profile panel mount 2mm banana jacks have a nickel plated brass threaded body with attachment post that supports both solder and 2.8mm QD. Though they are about the same size as a tip jack used for DVM probes, they do not have the internal spring to make a tight connection. These jacks rely upon the plug that inserts into them to have the spring. Wire attachment on the bottom portion of of the jack can be made by soldering to the 2.8mm tab or a 2.8mm Quick Disconnect terminal can be used. Note that the attachment hardware is a M6 spanner nut. These nuts have 2 slots to fit a spanner wrench or socket, but a flat bladed screwdriver can also be inserted into the slot to tighten the nut. These jacks are a medium duty type and handy for making logic connections or low to medium power custom power supplies or test fixtures.
