MAX3232 Transceiver IC 3V–5.5V PDIP-16 The MAX3232 Transceiver IC 3V–5.5V PDIP-16 is a high-performance dual RS-232 transceiver designed to provide reliable communication between TTL/CMOS logic circuits and RS-232 serial interfaces. The device integrates two line drivers and two line receivers, allowing full-duplex serial communication while operating from a single 3.0V to 5.5V power supply. Its built-in dual charge pump generates the positive and negative RS-232 voltages internally, eliminating the need for external ±12V supplies and significantly simplifying circuit design.
