27C16 16KBit CMOS EPROM PDIP-24 The 27C16 16KBit CMOS EPROM is a 16K-bit (2048×8) ultraviolet erasable programmable read-only memory device intended for use as program or data storage in vintage and embedded systems. It offers TTL-level inputs/outputs, separate output enable and chip enable control, and requires a single +5V power rail for read operations with a higher programming voltage (VPP) for programming cycles. Features 16Kbit memory organised as 2048×8 for code or data storage. CMOS technology with low power dissipation in read mode. Single-supply read operation at +5V and programmable VPP ≈ 12.5V for EPROM programming. Fast access time as low as 100ns (speed grade dependent). TTL-compatible inputs and outputs for direct interfacing to standard logic systems. Separate OE (output enable) and CE (chip enable) control signals to prevent bus contention. Ultraviolet (UV) erasable windowed EPROM variant (requires UV erase for reprogramming) and programmable using short programming pulses.
