It combines a high-voltage power MOSFET, PWM controller, protection circuitry, and startup functions into a single device, significantly reducing external component count and simplifying SMPS design. The device features programmable current limiting, line sensing, selectable switching frequency, soft-start, thermal shutdown, and frequency jittering for reduced EMI.
