Description

5L0365R Power Switch IC DIP-8 The 5L0365R in the KA5x03xx family is a compact Fairchild Power Switch (FPS) IC integrating a high-voltage SenseFET with a current-mode PWM controller in an 8-pin DIP package. Designed for offline switched-mode power supplies, it reduces component count by combining the MOSFET and control circuitry into a single chip, simplifying design and saving board space for compact consumer products. The internal controller integrates a fixed-frequency oscillator, under-voltage lockout, leading-edge blanking, optimized gate drive, thermal shutdown, over-voltage protection and temperature-compensated bias sources for loop compensation and fault management. These integrated protections and control functions create a resilient platform for flyback and forward converter topologies, improving system reliability and reducing EMI while easing compliance with safety and electromagnetic standards.
