Description
S3003 Servo Motor The Futaba S3003 Standard Servo Motor is a widely used and reliable servo motor designed for general-purpose use in a variety of hobbyist and professional applications. Known for its precision, durability, and affordability, the S3003 is commonly used in RC vehicles, robotics, automation systems, and DIY electronics. This servo features plastic gears with precise control over its movement within a 0° to 180° range. It is capable of producing moderate torque (about 3.2 kg·cm at 4.8V and 4.1 kg·cm at 6.0V), which makes it suitable for light to medium-duty mechanical tasks. Its lightweight and compact design allows for easy integration into various projects, whether it’s controlling a steering mechanism in an RC car or actuating a joint in a robotic arm. The S3003 uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signals to control the rotation angle. A pulse of around 1 ms moves the servo to 0°, 1.5 ms centers it at 90°, and 2 ms moves it to 180°. The servo maintains its position when the control signal is steady, and it reacts instantly when the signal changes. It operates on a voltage range of 4.8V to 6.0V, compatible with most microcontrollers including Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32. The S3003 includes a 3-wire cable for signal, power, and ground, making it easy to connect and control. Whether you’re building a basic robot, adding motion to a model, or creating a simple automated system, the Futaba S3003 offers a cost-effective and dependable solution. Its balance of performance and price has made it a favorite among electronics enthusiasts, educators, and roboticists around the world. Features: Smooth and Accurate Movement: Allows precise positioning within a 180° range, ideal for controlled motion tasks. Easy to Use: Works out of the box with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and RC receivers using standard PWM signals. Perfect for Beginners and Hobbyists: Simple to connect, program, and integrate into school, DIY, and robotics projects. Lightweight and Compact Design: Fits easily into small spaces — great for mobile robots, RC cars, and model aircraft. Reliable Performance: Trusted brand (Futaba) with consistent operation for long-term use in hobby and educational projects. Quiet Operation: Operates with minimal noise, making it suitable for indoor and noise-sensitive environments. Includes Accessories: Comes with multiple servo horns and screws for easy mounting and setup. Low Power Requirements: Can run on standard battery packs, making it easy to power in portable or remote projects. Community Support and Resources: Widely used and supported by tutorials, libraries, and forums — great for learning and troubleshooting. Description
Model: Futaba S3003 Operating Voltage: 4.8V~ 6.0V Operational Current: 100mA Stall torque (4.8V) : 3.2Kg-Cm Stall torque (6.0V) : 4.1Kg-Cm The Futaba S3003 Servo Motor 3.2Kg/cm Torque is a great multi-purpose standard-size high-reliability servo, and it can be easily modified for continuous rotation. Features plastic gearing, so these are not suitable for high-impact applications, but they’re a great choice for beginners – perfect for moving robotic arms through a certain range or steering a rover! The unit comes complete with 30cm wire and a 3-pin ‘S’ type female header connector that fits most receivers. This servo can rotate approximately 180 degrees (90 in each direction), but can be modified for full rotation, and comes with a range of horns and hardware to suit most applications! You can use any servo code, hardware, or library to control these servos, so it’s great for beginners who want to make stuff move without building a motor controller with feedback & gear box, especially since it will fit in small places. They work great with 16 Channel Servo Driver and other Raspberry Pi Motor Controllers.
