DESCRIPTION These low profile panel mount 2mm banana jacks have a nickel plated brass threaded body with attachment post that supports both solder and 2.8mm QD. KEY FEATURES OF BANANA JACK 2MM LOW PROFILE, PANEL MOUNT : 2mm barrel fits 2mm size banana plugs Nickle plated threaded brass body with M6 spanner nut PA plastic body Up to 10A current capability These nice quality low profile panel mount 2mm banana jacks These 2mm banana jacks are designed for use with the small 2mm banana plugs. Though they are about the same size as a tip jack used for DVM probes, they do not have the internal spring to make a tight connection. These jacks rely upon the plug that inserts into them to have the spring. Wire attachment on the bottom portion of of the jack can be made by soldering to the 2.8mm tab or a 2.8mm Quick Disconnect terminal can be used. Note that the attachment hardware is a M6 spanner nut. These nuts have 2 slots to fit a spanner wrench or socket, but a flat bladed screwdriver can also be inserted into the slot to tighten the nut. These jacks are a medium duty type and handy for making logic connections or low to medium power custom power supplies or test fixtures.
