From Makers Electronics's description
UNI-T UT61A Modern Digital Multimeter The UNI-T UT61A is a robust handheld digital multimeter designed for both professionals and electronics hobbyists. It has a rugged red-and-grey casing with a large LCD screen that fills a big portion of the front, framed by a rotary dial and buttons. The size and heft give a sense of durability; the meter feels solid in hand and makes an impression of being built to last. When powered on, the screen displays large numeric values, often accompanied by a bar-graph analog style indicator, which helps with detecting changing or fluctuating signals in real time. Its design supports a broad range of measurement tasks voltage (AC & DC), current, resistance, frequency, capacitance, etc. so the user can rely on a single instrument rather than several. The rotary switch for selecting measurement types is clearly marked. The lead terminals and input jacks are solidly built and spaced to make using probes easier, even with bulkier leads. When switching modes or ranges, there is visible feedback on the display, and the device includes a stand (tilt or fold-out) to allow hands-free use if needed. Though feature-rich, the UT61A keeps its interface fairly straightforward, avoiding overly complex menus. Indicators for overload or input errors appear clearly. The meter is powered by a 9V battery, emphasizing portability. Its large size, about 180 × 87 × 47 mm, means it’s more comfortable on a bench or workspace than carried all day, but it remains transportable. Overall, the UT61A presents itself as a strong workhorse instrument durable, feature-rich, reliable, capable of handling diverse electrical measurement roles while prioritizing readability and ruggedness. Features Auto-range and manual ranging modes. MAX / MIN & REL (relative) display modes. Data Hold function. Backlight display. Analog bar-graph for signal trend sense. NCV (non-contact voltage) detection (in UT61A). Transistor test function (in UT61A). Diode & continuity buzzer test. EF (Electric Field) detection. Low battery indicator.
