This BMP280 is a cheapest and tiny Atmospheric Sensor Breakout to measure barometric pressure, and temperature readings all without taking up too much space. Basically, anything you need to know about atmospheric conditions you can find out from this tiny breakout. The BMP280 Breakout has been design to be used in indoor/outdoor navigation, weather forecasting, home automation, and even personal health and wellness monitoring. This module uses an environmental sensor manufactured by Bosch with temperature, barometric pressure sensor that is the next generation upgrade to the popular BMP085/BMP180/BMP183 Sensor. This sensor is great for all sorts of weather sensing and can even be used in both I2C and SPI! This precision sensor from Bosch is the best low-cost, precision sensing solution for measuring barometric pressure with ±1 hPa absolute accuraccy, and temperature with ±1.0°C accuracy. Because pressure changes with altitude, and the pressure measurements are so good, you can also use it as an altimeter with ±1 meter accuracy. The BMP280 is the next-generation of sensors, and is the upgrade to the BMP085/BMP180/BMP183 – with a low altitude noise of 0.25m and the same fast conversion time. It has the same specifications, but can use either I2C or SPI. For simple easy wiring, go with I2C. If you want to connect a bunch of sensors without worrying about I2C address collisions, go with SPI. Features:- Get more precise temperature, atmospheric pressure values, and approximate altitude data Enhancement of GPS navigation (e.g. time-tofirst-fix improvement, dead-reckoning, slope detection) Indoor navigation (floor detection, elevator detection) Outdoor navigation, leisure and sports applications Weather forecast Health care applications (e.g. spirometry) Vertical velocity indication (e.g. rise/sink speed) Libraries and tutorials available for Arduino and other micro controllers Operating Voltage: 1.71V to 3.6V – would typically be operated from 3.3V Operating Temperature: -40 to +85 deg. Celsius (full accuracy between 0 and +65 deg. C) Operating Pressure: 300 hPa to 1100 hPa Peak current: 1.12mA Accuracy between 700 to 900hPa and 25 to 40 deg. C: ±0.12hPa and ±1.0m

BMP280 Barometric Pressure and Altitude Sensor I2C/SPI Module 5V Thanks to Bosch, now we’ve got a high-precision environmental sensor at even lower cost, Barometer Sensor(BMP280). It is based on their new BMP280 sensor, which is an upgraded version of the old BMP180 Barometer Sensor (BMP180). The module provides precise measurement of barometric pressure and temperature in the environment. The air pressure can be measured in a range from 300 hPa to 1100hPa with ±1.0 hPa absolute accuracy. As for the temperature the sensor works perfectly for temperatures between – 40 and 85 with an accuracy of ±1. Owing to its high accuracy on measuring the pressure, and the pressure changes with altitude, we can calculate the altitude with ±1 meter accuracy, which makes it a precise altimeter as well. Another great thing about this module is that, you don’t even need to worry about the I2C collisions as it provides both I2C and SPI interfaces. To use SPI, simply de-solder the bonding pads on the back. If you go with I2C, the board also provides 2 I2C addresses for you to select as you want. Note: As the sensor is quite sensitive to the environmental conditions, please DO NOT touch it with your fingers. Features High accuracy, absolute accuracy of ±1.0 hPa for pressure measurement and ±1 accuracy for temperature measurement Supports both I2C and SPI communication Can be used as an altimeter with accuracy of ±1 meter Pin Configuration: Vcc : 5V power supply, compatible with 3V to 5V systems due to the onboard voltage regulator. From Micro Ohm's description
BMP280 3.3V Barometric Pressure & Altitude Sensor Module (I2C/SPI) The BMP280 3.3V Barometric Pressure & Altitude Sensor Module is a reliable breakout board that brings Bosch’s well-known BMP280 pressure sensor into an easy-to-use format for makers and professional prototyping. The BMP280 measures absolute air pressure with high resolution, and by using standard altitude formulas, it can also estimate relative altitude changes . Unlike “5V modules” that sometimes include extra regulators or level shifting, this version is intended for 3.3V operation . That makes it the best match for modern microcontrollers such as ESP32, Raspberry Pi, STM32, RP2040, and other 3.3V logic platforms. If your project needs consistent pressure readings, fast response, and low power consumption, the BMP280 3.3V module is one of the most practical choices for IoT and embedded applications. Why Choose a 3.3V BMP280 Module Choosing a 3.3V-native BMP280 module helps you avoid common wiring mistakes and improves long-term stability in sensor projects: Correct sensor supply range without stressing the chip Better compatibility with 3.3V logic boards (no risky 5V pull-ups on I2C lines) Cleaner integration in battery-powered systems Reduced chance of noise issues compared to unstable conversions Key Features 3.3V operating module for safe use with 3.3V MCUs High resolution barometric pressure sensing Supports I2C and SPI communication Suitable for altitude estimation (relative changes) Compact PCB with easy solder pads Low power consumption for IoT devices Specifications Values may vary slightly by board revision, but the functional behavior remains consistent. Sensor IC: Bosch BMP280 Supply Voltage (Module): 3.3V Interfaces: I2C / SPI I2C Pins: SDA, SCL SPI Pins: SDO, SDA (SDI/MOSI), SCL (SCK), CSB Measurements: Absolute pressure , temperature (for compensation) Typical Use: Pressure + altitude estimation Pinout & Wiring Notes (I2C / SPI) Most BMP280 breakout boards use the following labels: I2C Mode (Recommended for most projects) VCC → 3.3V GND → GND SCL → I2C Clock SDA → I2C Data SPI Mode (If your project requires it) VCC → 3.3V GND → GND SCL → SCK SDA → MOSI SDO → MISO CSB → Chip Select ✅ Important Note: This module is intended for 3.3V operation . If you connect it to a 5V Arduino board, use 3.3V power and ensure the I2C/SPI logic levels are safe (level shifting or proper pull-ups may be required).
