Carbon Resistor 120Ω 0.25W Through Hole A compact, axial 120 Ω, 0.25 W carbon-film through-hole resistor built on a ceramic core and finished with an epoxy coat. The small cylindrical body is color-band marked for easy value identification; axial leads are solder-plated for reliable joints and simple insertion into PCBs or breadboards. Its footprint is tailored for low-power circuits where board space is limited and easy replacement is desirable. Manufactured to provide economical, stable resistance in general-purpose electronics, the component dissipates up to a quarter watt in free air (rated at 70 °C) and exhibits predictable thermal behavior under normal operating conditions. Constructive details such as welded caps and epoxy protection improve mechanical robustness and protect markings from solvents and handling during assembly. While not intended for high-precision instrumentation, the resistor offers dependable performance for biasing, signal conditioning and general circuit functions where tight tolerance and ultra-low TCR are not required. It tolerates standard soldering processes (follow recommended solder times to avoid marking damage) and operates across a wide temperature span typical of through-hole axial resistors.
