Metal Oxide Varistor 1.5K/6 MOV This Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) is a voltage-dependent, nonlinear resistor specifically designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from damaging voltage transients, surges, and spikes. The “1.5K/6” code identifies it as a 1500V varistor with a 6mm lead pitch, housed in a 12mm disc body. It is commonly deployed as the first line of defense in AC power input stages, placed directly after the mains fuse and wired in parallel with the load.
