MG995 Servo Motor Tower Pro 180 Degree (Full Metal with Brass Gear) The Tower Pro MG995 Servo Motor is a high-performance, standard-size servo motor designed for precision control in a wide range of applications. Known for its durability and power, the MG995 is equipped with full metal gears, including brass and steel components, ensuring long-lasting operation and resistance to wear under heavy loads. This makes it ideal for applications such as robotics, RC cars, boats, helicopters, robotic arms, and various DIY projects where reliable torque and accuracy are essential. Operating at a voltage range of 4.8V to 7.2V, the MG995 can deliver a stall torque of up to 12 kg·cm at 6V, making it capable of moving heavier loads compared to plastic-geared counterparts. Its 180-degree rotation range provides sufficient motion for most control tasks, with high positioning accuracy. The servo uses analog control with a typical pulse width modulation (PWM) signal, making it compatible with most servo controllers, Arduino boards, and RC receivers. One of the key features of the MG995 is its internal dual ball bearing design, which not only improves performance by reducing friction but also contributes to the overall stability and efficiency of the motor. The metal case helps with heat dissipation, while the standard 3-wire interface (red for VCC, brown for GND, and orange for signal) ensures easy integration into existing systems. Despite its strong torque, the MG995 remains compact, with dimensions of 40.7 × 19.7 × 42.9 mm and a weight of about 55 grams, making it easy to mount in most standard servo brackets or frames. Whether you’re building a robotic joint or a steering mechanism for a remote-controlled vehicle, the MG995 offers a balanced combination of strength, precision, and reliability, making it a favorite among hobbyists and engineers alike. Features: Strong and Reliable Performance: Delivers powerful torque for moving heavy or complex mechanical parts with ease. Durable Metal Gear Construction: Brass and steel gears offer excellent durability and resist wear under repeated use. Precise Movement Control: Offers accurate positioning, making it ideal for robotic arms, pan-tilt systems, and more. Smooth and Stable Operation: Dual ball bearings reduce friction, enabling smoother and quieter rotation. Heat Dissipation for Long Usage: The metal case helps prevent overheating, especially during continuous or high-load operation. Plug-and-Play Compatibility: Comes with a standard 3-pin connector, ready to connect to Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and RC receivers. Easy to Mount: Compact design with universal servo horn compatibility fits into many mechanical frames. Cost-Effective Solution: Offers high performance and reliability at a budget-friendly price point. Widely Supported: Compatible with most hobbyist and professional electronics platforms and control systems.
