UNI-T UT60S True RMS Digital Multimeter Functions The True RMS Testing with the UNI-T UT60S provides accurate electrical measurements for maintenance, electronics, laboratory, and industrial testing. Its True RMS technology improves AC readings when measuring sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal signals. The 9999-count display offers clear readings and useful measurement resolution. In addition, the analog bar graph helps users observe fast signal changes and identify unstable values. This meter supports automatic and manual ranging. Therefore, users can choose quick automatic operation or select a range manually when required. Main Measurement Functions The UT60S measures several electrical parameters with one handheld device: AC and DC voltage AC and DC current Resistance Capacitance Frequency Duty cycle Temperature Diode forward voltage Circuit continuity Key Features 9999-count digital display True RMS AC measurement Automatic and manual ranging Non-contact voltage detection Three-color LED indication Analog bar graph LCD backlight Data-hold function Relative measurement mode Diode and continuity testing Low-battery indication Automatic power-off after approximately 15 minutes Rugged double-injection housing CE, UKCA, and cETLus certifications Measurement Specifications DC Voltage: Up to 999.9V, ±(0.5%+3) AC Voltage: Up to 999.9V, ±(0.8%+3) DC Current: Up to 10A, ±(0.8%+3) AC Current: Up to 10A, ±(1.0%+3) Resistance: Up to 99.99MΩ, ±(0.8%+2) Capacitance: Up to 99.9mF, ±(4.0%+5) Frequency: Up to 9.999MHz, ±(0.1%+5) Duty Cycle: 0.1% to 99.9%, ±(3%+5) Temperature: -40°C to 1000°C Temperature Accuracy: ±4°C Display Resolution: 9999 counts General Specifications Safety Rating: CAT II 1000V / CAT III 600V Operating Temperature: 0°C to 40°C Power Supply: 3 × 1.5V AAA batteries Low-Battery Detection: Approximately 3.6V or lower Automatic Power-Off: Approximately 15 minutes Product Dimensions: 169 × 81 × 46mm Net Weight: Approximately 290g Product Color: Red and gray True RMS Measurement True RMS technology provides more reliable AC measurements when the waveform contains distortion. For example, electronic motor controls, dimmers, switching power supplies, and variable-frequency systems may produce non-sinusoidal waveforms. As a result, this meter provides a better choice than an average-responding multimeter for many modern electrical systems. Non-Contact Voltage Detection The NCV function helps detect the presence of AC voltage without direct metal contact. Furthermore, the meter uses audible and visual indicators to notify the user when it detects an electric field. However, always confirm that a circuit is safe with a suitable direct-contact measurement. Do not rely on NCV alone before touching electrical wiring. Applications The UT60S suits many professional and educational tasks, including: Electrical installation and maintenance Electronics troubleshooting Appliance repair Automotive electrical testing Power-supply measurements Laboratory experiments Temperature measurement Industrial equipment inspection Arduino and embedded-system testing Student engineering projects Safety Instructions Select the correct measurement mode and terminal before connecting the test leads. Also, never measure voltage while the lead remains connected to a current-measurement terminal. Do not exceed the meter’s rated voltage, current, or measurement category. Always inspect the meter and test leads before working on energized circuits. Read the user manual before performing high-voltage or high-current measurements.
