From Micro Ohm's description
Mini N20 Robot Ball Caster Wheel 22×15mm The Mini N20 Robot Ball Caster Wheel 22×15mm is a compact support wheel designed for small robot cars, smart chassis platforms, and lightweight DIY robotic projects. Instead of using a traditional wheel, this caster uses a polished steel ball that rolls freely in multiple directions, helping the robot move more smoothly and change direction with less resistance. This type of caster is especially useful in compact robot builds where the main drive wheels are powered by motors and the front or rear side needs a free-moving support point. Its small size makes it suitable for mini robot cars, N20 motor platforms, MiniQ-style robots, line follower projects, educational robotics kits, and desktop robotic mechanisms . The outer housing is made from plastic , which keeps the unit lightweight and easy to mount, while the moving ball elements are made from 304 stainless steel for smooth rolling performance and better resistance to rust over time. The design includes a main large steel ball supported by smaller internal balls, helping distribute movement more freely and making the robot chassis feel more balanced during motion. Because it offers low-friction support and allows movement in any direction, this ball caster is a practical solution for robots that need easier turning, smoother travel, and more stable contact with the ground. It is a useful part for hobbyists, students, and robotics developers building small mobile platforms.
