UNI-T UT205A 1000A Digital Clamp Meter The UNI-T UT205A is a heavy-duty clamp meter designed for demanding electrical work, combining high current measuring capability with rugged build and practical form. From its large clamp jaw to its robust housing, it communicates durability. The tool is sizeable yet shaped to be held comfortably in hand, even when wearing gloves. Its display is clear and bold, positioned so the user can read measurements at a glance, and the controls are arranged for intuitive operation in busy, messy, or constrained work settings. Performance-wise, the UT205A handles both high currents (up to 1000 A AC) and a broad variety of electrical measurements without requiring frequent tool changes. The dial and buttons allow shifting between current, voltage (AC/DC), resistance, frequency, and continuity modes. Its auto-ranging capability simplifies use, reducing the need to guess what range to set. The indicator lights and backlight ensure that even in low ambient light or dim enclosures the readings remain visible and the device usable. Because it is built with professionals in mind, this clamp meter is made to endure not just the electrical load but also the physical rigors of jobsite use. It weighs enough to feel substantial but not so much as to hamper portability. Along with accessories like leads and possibly a carrying pouch, it’s ready to go into many environments. Though it offers broad functionality, it keeps operation straightforward the user can move between measurement types without complicated configuration. In all, the UT205A aims to give electricians, maintenance workers, and field technicians a tool that balances power, resilience, and usability. Features: 1000A AC current measurement via clamp.
