From Makers Electronics's description
UNI-T UT658B USB Tester The UNI-T UT658B is a compact handheld USB testing tool designed for monitoring and evaluating the performance of USB chargers, cables, power banks, and USB-powered devices. Rather than being a full multimeter, it sits inline between a USB power source and a load, letting you see how the voltage and current behave in real time. Because it’s small and portable, it can travel in tool bags or pockets and be used in labs, workshops, or field settings. Internally, the UT658B senses the voltage at its input and measures the current flowing through it. It also accumulates charge (capacity in mAh) over time, providing insight into how much energy a device draws during a charging cycle. A simple button allows switching between memory banks or clearing data. Its visual LCD display shows multiple values simultaneously or in sequence, making it easy to compare metrics like voltage vs. current vs. total capacity. The inclusion of short cable makes it convenient to connect between devices without undue strain on ports. In practical use, the UT658B becomes a go-to diagnostic tool for electronics technicians, hobbyists, or anyone needing to validate USB performance. It helps detect issues such as underperforming cables, weak chargers, voltage drop under load, or overrated power supplies. Because it logs data and stores multiple sets, it allows comparing charge cycles or evaluating power banks under different loads. While not replacing a full bench instrument, it fills the niche of fast, in-line USB power diagnostics with minimal setup. Features: Charger capacity test with continuous memory (stores cumulative mAh). Simultaneous display of charging voltage, current, and battery capacity. 10 memory banks to store capacity data sets. Warning / alert function (e.g. for overvoltage). Inline cable (≈ 10 cm) to reduce strain on connectors. Lightweight, compact form.
