MG995 Servo Motor Tower Pro 180 Degree (Full Metal Gear) The MG995 Servo Motor from Tower Pro is a robust and high-torque servo designed for precision control in a variety of mechanical and electronic applications. Featuring a rotation range of approximately 180 degrees, this servo is ideal for tasks that require accurate positioning, such as in robotic arms, RC vehicles, and automation systems. What sets the MG995 apart is its full metal gear construction, which includes strong brass and steel components. This durable gear system ensures long-lasting performance and reliability under continuous load and stress. The metal gears also provide resistance against wear and tear, making the motor suitable for demanding environments where plastic-geared servos might fail. The servo operates within a voltage range of 4.8V to 7.2V, and can produce up to 12 kg·cm of torque at 6V, which is more than enough for most mid-level hobby and engineering projects. It also features dual ball bearings, which enhance smooth operation and reduce internal friction, improving both responsiveness and lifespan. The MG995 uses a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal for control, with a standard pulse range of 1 ms to 2 ms determining the angle of rotation. It’s compatible with microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and most RC receivers, making integration into projects simple and straightforward. The 3-wire connector (orange for signal, red for VCC, and brown for ground) ensures easy and universal connectivity. Measuring 40.7 mm × 19.7 mm × 42.9 mm and weighing about 55 grams, the MG995 is compact enough to fit in tight spaces while offering high performance. Whether you’re building a robotic hand, a camera gimbal, or a steering system for an RC car, the MG995 offers a reliable, high-torque, and durable solution at an affordable price. Features: Strong Torque for Heavy Loads: Can easily move robotic arms, RC car wheels, or other mechanical parts that need force. Durable Metal Gear Construction: Full metal (brass and steel) gears resist wear, ensuring long-lasting and reliable performance. Precise Angle Control: Ideal for tasks requiring accurate movement, like camera control, robotic joints, and automation. Smooth and Stable Movement: Dual ball bearings provide fluid motion and reduce vibrations or jerky responses. Heat-Resistant Design: Metal casing helps prevent overheating during extended or demanding operation. Plug-and-Play Friendly: Works easily with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and RC receivers using a simple 3-wire connection. Compact Yet Powerful: Small enough to fit in tight spaces, but strong enough to handle big tasks. Holds Position Under Load: Maintains its angle even when pressure is applied — useful for gripping or holding. Affordable and Widely Available: Offers excellent performance at a low cost, making it popular among hobbyists and engineers.
