From Makers Electronics's description
UNI-T UT204+ Digital Clamp Meter UNI-T UT204+ Digital Clamp Meter is a robust digital clamp meter designed for professionals and serious hobbyists who need reliable readings in demanding environments. With its substantial clamp jaw and sturdy casing, it feels solid in hand and built to endure workshop, job-site, or industrial use. The user interface balances clarity and function: a large display gives quick, easy-to-read values, while buttons and dial positions are arranged so users can switch between measuring current, voltage, resistance, and more without fumbling. Behind the UT204+’s physical design is electronics tuned for both accuracy and stability. Whether measuring AC currents with complex waveforms or checking DC circuits, the meter aims to deliver consistent results. It includes detection methods to spot live conductors without direct contact (NCV), which adds ease and safety for certain tasks. The meter also gives feedback via visual indicators and display behaviors that let the user know when readings are nearing limits or when input protection is engaged helping prevent misuse or damage. In use, the UT204+ is meant to be versatile: it handles a range of electrical measurements while accommodating the constraints of real-world work. Its size is sizeable but remains manageable; it fits into tool bags, can be operated with one hand if needed; the clamp jaw is shaped to access conductors in tight or awkward spaces. Readings are meant to be quick, and functions such as auto-range or data hold help reduce delays. Overall, it’s a tool built to combine strength, durability, and utility for electrical diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting across industrial, commercial, and residential settings. Features True RMS measurement. NCV (non-contact voltage) detection. Display count up to ~6000 in some listings. Auto-range capability. Large 28 mm jaw opening. AC & DC current / voltage measurement.
